Duties

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for safe handling, moving and storage, and inventory of both expendable and non-expendable items. The warehouse worker performs loading and unloading of both expendable and non-expendable including but not limited to furniture, appliances, etc. from trucks/vans to the warehouse(s). The warehouse worker assists in organizing, preparation and the delivery of items from the warehouse to office buildings, residential properties, and other locations. the position holder operates forklifts, trolleys and other electrical or mechanical equipment to safely move and transport heavy items; keeps log of incoming and outgoing warehouse items to assists with the inventory control; conduct individual inventories of residences and inspect items to ensure that no theft or damage of the embassy property has accrued. Identifies and reports damaged or missing items for replacement. The position is in the General Services Office (GSO) and under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  At least two (2) years of experience in manual labor or warehouse work is required.

Education Requirements:

Completion of primary school is required.

Must be able to lift a maximum of 51 lbs. (23kg) under Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Rudimentary knowledge (Level I) of English and Limited knowledge (Level II) of Kinyarwanda is required. (This may be tested).

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Skill test might be administered.

Duties

The Office Management Assistant serves for Political/Economic Office and performs a variety of administrative and office management tasks. The position holder serves as a point of communication between the Pol/Econ Section, other sections of the Embassy and contacts outside the Embassy, including with the host government; screens telephone calls and responds to inquiries. The Office Management Assistant edits and proofreads documents for accuracy, formatting, clearances, style, and compliance with regulations; drafts correspondence for approval, and responds to routine correspondence; researches reference and background materials and develops presentation materials. Additionally, the position holder monitors incoming cable traffic and alerts responsible parties to priority action items and serves as custodian of files and classified material. The Incumbent attends representational events and establishes relationships with host country personnel; receives and escorts visitors.

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an office environment, with specific experience in office management, business administration, financial management, operations management, project management, or similar office setting is required.Education Requirements:

Duties

The TalentCare Coordinator will initiate and administer a process that coordinates the several programs related to the Department’s TalentCare initiative, and provide strategic planning and initiation of a comprehensive wellness program outlined in 16 FAM 625. Job holder will help establish, maintain, and work with the Post TalentCare Committee. This position’s duties include regularly evaluating post’s specific needs and identifying resources related to TalentCare, developing a wellness plan, and implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of that plan. Incumbent will report to Management Officer, with guidance of the Post TalentCare Committee (TCC) and with technical support from the MED/CP/OHW Wellness Team.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: At least two (2) years of professional experience including education, administration, or program management within the fields of health promotion, workplace wellness, recreation, or other allied health professions is required.

Applicants MUST be an Appointment Eligible Family Member and/or Member of Household assigned to U.S. Mission Rwanda.Education Requirements:

Completion of at least two (2) years of study at University or College is required.Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Level III (Good Working Knowledge) of English writing/speaking/reading is required. This may be tested.
